"KLR Consulting has been an invaluable asset to our business unit. Their coaching services have proven incredibly fruitful to our group and the process improvements developed during our off-site have benefited both employees and customers. The customized seminars they created have proven popular and informative and KLR will certainly be asked to return. We would highly recommend KLR to any organization looking for guidance in the areas of strategic planning, executive training, or simple motivation of a stressed out workforce."

Report From The 3% Conference

(posted: November 17th, 2013)

Congratulations to Kat Gordon for executing another amazing conference this year - she worked hard to create an event that was chock full of amazing speakers and great information!

I was thrilled to facilitate one of the panel discussions at the conference, on unleashing your inner entrepreneur.

Some of the wisdom from these women:

If you choose to be vulnerable and courageous then you have to let go of the need for comfort. Especially for entrepreneurs.

  • If everyone is comfortable then I am not doing my job.
  • We need to be pushing and stretching.
  • Create a culture where discomfort is normal. Where people understand that if you are uncomfortable that means you are doing what you need to be doing.

"You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result."

One of the most empowering moments of the conference overall was when P.J. Pereira of Pereira & O'Dell told of a time his mom, who'd had a busy work life, asked him if he ever wished she had been home more for him when he was younger. P.J. said, "I never felt I was being neglected. Instead I felt I had a rock star mom!"
